Job Description

The Faircape Group constitutes a group of companies with interests in a number of activities including Healthcare, Retirement Holdings, Telecommunications, and an ISP, Utility Management and infrastructure installation, Property Management, and related activities.

We’re looking for a proactive and dynamic HR Specialist to lead initiatives in performance improvement, training, and employee engagement. This role involves driving wellness programs, managing HR policies, and enhancing organizational culture

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Training & Development: Identify and address training needs, evaluate training module effectiveness, and regularly review and update training materials. Guide line managers to ensure effective role-based training. Develop and introduce a structured incentive upskilling program within the organization
  • Performance Management: Coach and guide managers and employees on performance improvement practices, facilitate performance management processes, and oversee remote work procedures with clear guidelines, expectations, communication protocols, and security measures. Oversee KPI tracking systems and improve facilitation processes to align with organisational goals. Determine objective measurements for key performance areas of each post in the organization
  • Employee Engagement & Wellness: Assist in developing and implementing engagement and wellness initiatives, coordinate social committee events, internal branding projects, and organizational culture interventions to enhance employee experience.
  • Brand Development: Collaborate with marketing to manage and expand the Faircape Group brand through effective materials and initiatives. This would be to grow the company presence in the market to attract the right calibre of candidates
  • Rewards & Recognition: Enhance programs to foster a culture of appreciation and support employee motivation.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop, update, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legislation, and ensure job descriptions and KPIs are accurate and role-specific.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance on labor law and company policies, support employee relations, and conduct exit interviews, sharing insights with management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management/ Industrial and Organisational Psychology

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Proven experience within a similar role 
  • Strong technical expertise is required to effectively perform this role.
  • Must have solid IR understanding and experience.
  • Exposure to planning and executing of employee wellness and engagement initiatives.

 Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45 minute lunch break. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi time between 07h00 and 18h00.

With centrally located and modern offices just across from Cavendish in Claremont, Faircape offers a market-related salary from R 40 000.00 Cost to Company per month.
