As part of our continued innovation in healthcare delivery, Faircape Health is developing a Longevity and Preventative Health Centre, focused on extending healthspan through advanced diagnostics, preventative medicine, personalised health optimisation, and evidence-based lifestyle interventions.
This centre will provide structured preventative health services to individuals seeking to better understand, optimise, and maintain their long-term health through comprehensive medical assessments, advanced diagnostics, and personalised health strategies aimed at reducing disease risk and supporting healthy ageing.
We are seeking an experienced physician to take on a clinical leadership role as Clinical Lead – Longevity & Preventative Medicine, responsible for shaping, developing, and overseeing this new programme within the Faircape healthcare environment.
This is a senior role suited to a forward-thinking clinician with a strong interest in preventative medicine, cardiometabolic health, and evidence-based health optimisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing clinical protocols, interpreting advanced diagnostics and biomarker data, and leading a multidisciplinary approach to proactive health management and disease prevention.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical development of Faircape’s longevity and preventative health programme
- Design and implement advanced preventative health assessments and screening protocols
- Interpret complex biomarker data, diagnostics, and health performance indicators
- Develop personalised health optimisation plans based on clinical and diagnostic findings
- Work collaboratively with allied health professionals including physiotherapists, dieticians, and rehabilitation specialists
- Introduce and evaluate emerging diagnostic tools and preventative health technologies
- Provide clinical oversight and governance for preventative care programmes
- Support multidisciplinary collaboration across healthcare, rehabilitation, and wellness services
- Engage with patients and residents to promote proactive health management and lifestyle optimisation
- Ensure clinical decisions align with ethical, evidence-based medical practice
- Contribute to internal clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and programme development
Requirements
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
- MBChB from an accredited tertiary institution
- Current and active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience in a clinical environment involving the management of adult patients and chronic disease risk factors
- Experience contributing to or supporting the development of clinical programmes, preventative health initiatives, or multidisciplinary healthcare services will be advantageous
- CPD compliance
Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in:
- Preventative medicine and longevity science
- Cardiometabolic health and metabolic optimisation
- Lifestyle medicine and health optimisation strategies
- Rehabilitation medicine and functional health recovery
- Evidence-based approaches to healthy aging and long-term disease prevention
- Sound knowledge of:
